Hello! I’ve been so busy in the last week preparing to travel to New York, then adjusting to being here that it’s taken far to long to get back here to the blog and update with what’s happening! I’ve only been here a few days, but it feels like we’ve packed in so much. Above are some shots from the Farmers Markets in Greenpoint that I visited on Saturday with my sister who lives nearby (so great that she’s a local!) and at the top is a shot of the Le Labo fragrance stand we stumbled upon in Saks. I was intrigued by their approach of making the perfume fresh in front of you – it’s is definitely a step back from the mass production model we are so commonly used to. They also encourage you to recycle the packaging by bringing it back with you for your next visit. And their fragrances! Each was incredibly unique and special, and I also found them to be much better lasting too. Definitely intriguing to have stumbled upon!
Today I also attended day one of the Social Good Summit, but I think I’ll dedicate a separate post to that one – suffice to say it was a really fascinating space to be in while great minds discussed creative ways to solve many of the world’s big problems. It was very inspiring and empowering to be there!
Please do let me know if you have any other recommendations while I’m here – I’d love to know!
